Well, I've been hard at work on Osmek for the last month. A lot of the work and updates I've been doing are going on behind the scenes, preparing things for a full on launch, but today I'm happy to tell you about two new features that I hope will enrich your Osmek experience.

As we draw closer to the official release of Osmek 2.0 we are looking for new users to try out the system. A lot of you who are already using Omsek 1 are already using it, but we want some brand new people to get in and give it a run through. If you are interested in trying Omsek 2.0 before the release, or if you know someone who may be, please sign up via the form on the Osmek.com homepage and we'll be in touch!

Osmek's "Shows" section will now autofill your venue information for you based upon popular venues we have in our system. Just start typing the venue name, and you'll see a list of popular venues appear. The more you use a venue, the more likely it will be that it will show up in the list.

The Osmek server went down today for about 15 minutes due to a datacenter outage at our hosting company Rackspace. From what we understand this outage affected the entire datacenter - thus Osmek.com, and all sites that Kemso hosts. We are awaiting an update from Rackspace addressing the cause of the outage, but we're pleased that they handled quickly and feel confident that they will continue to offer us, and you, the best hosting and service available.
